Emma and Layne will bring the speed, the sparkle and the wow factor to the Wild Wild West Rodeo on June 5 & 6!
The Red Dirt Trick Riders are a youth-focused specialty rodeo and equine entertainment act based out of Clinton, Oklahoma. Led by young trick riders Emma and Layne, the group travels to rodeos and public events providing crowd-stopping stunts, speed, and high-energy Western performance skills.
Layne Pickard 9 years old 3rd grader from Sentinel, Ok with her pony Oscar. When they aren’t trickriding together they are competing in Little Britches rodeos. Their hard work paid off in the 2025 season, finishing an impressive 9th in the world in pole bending.
Emma Townsley is an 11- year- old 5th grader from Arapaho, Ok. She and her horse Spanky – trained by Emma for trick riding – also compete in barrel racing, pole bending and trail riding. When she’s not in the arena she stays busy playing basketball and softball.
