Wild Wild West Rodeo Rides Into Silver City This Weekend

Rodeo fans won’t want to miss this weekend’s First New Mexico Bank Wild Wild West Rodeo as it returns to the Southwest Horseman’s Arena on Friday and Saturday, June 5–6.

Presented in partnership with the Freedom Rodeo Tour and Casper Baca Rodeo Company, the Wild Wild West Rodeo will bring two nights of exciting rodeo action to Silver City. Fans can expect all their favorite events, including bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, barrel racing, breakaway roping, team roping, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, and ranch bronc riding.

The fun goes beyond the arena. Spectators can enjoy rodeo clown Bob Weir, the Red Dirt Trick Riders, Mutton Bustin’, the Calf Scramble, Vendor Alley, food vendors, and family-friendly entertainment throughout the evening.

Gates open at 5 p.m. each night, with the rodeo beginning at 7 p.m.

Advance general admission tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Circle Heart Western Wear, First Financial Credit Union, Circle S Western Emporium, and Smith Ford. Tickets will be $20 at the gate. Children ages 4 and under get in free.

The rodeo committee encourages attendees to take advantage of the Corre Caminos shuttle service due to limited parking at the arena. Shuttle service will run both nights from the Grant County Veterans Business & Conference Center.

“The Wild Wild West Rodeo is all about bringing our community together to celebrate the western way of life,” said rodeo organizers. “We’re excited to welcome contestants, sponsors, volunteers, and fans for another great year of rodeo in Grant County.”

The Wild Wild West Rodeo is made possible by the support of our title sponsor, First New Mexico Bank, along with many local businesses and community partners who help keep this tradition alive.
